For Giving Tuesday and throughout the holiday season, Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation is raising funds for a second Da Vinci robot, a state-of-the-art machine that will address rising lung cancer cases and attract crucial medical talent to our region.

THE NEED

Windsor-Essex faces a rising volume of lung cancer cases and, right now, our entire program relies on a single surgeon. Without immediate action, more and more local cancer patients will be forced to travel out of the region for life-saving care.

To keep our patients close to their families, Windsor Regional Hospital must expand our thoracic (chest & lung) surgery program today. How do we attract more specialists? With a second Da Vinci robot.

Top-tier surgeons require top-tier tools. Today’s best specialists train exclusively on robotic systems and will not practice at a hospital without them.
