Planning Team Engages with Regional Faith Communities on Multi-Faith Space for New Hospital.

Members of the planning team recently met with representatives from various faith communities across the region to gather input on how to make the new hospital’s multi-faith space welcoming and comforting for people of all beliefs and backgrounds.

Participants joined the session either in person or virtually to share their perspectives and priorities for the space. Much of the discussion focused on the importance of creating an inclusive, neutral, and flexible environment where everyone feels welcome. Participants also emphasized the need for adequate storage to accommodate items used by different faith groups for prayer or ceremonies.

Feedback from this session - along with lessons learned from multi-faith spaces in similarly sized facilities - will be incorporated into the design and planning for the new hospital.
