Community Group to Support Fancsy Family Hospital

WINDSOR, ONTARIO— The Chinese community of Windsor and Essex has announced an impressive commitment to the future of local healthcare, pledging to raise $500,000 over the next five years in support of the Fancsy Family Hospital. The funds will help purchase state-of-the-art equipment and technology needed at the new acute care facility.
The Chinese community of Windsor and Essex is among the earliest supporters of the new hospital project, and it is the first community group to formalize a commitment with the Foundation. In recognition of their generosity, a Multi-Purpose Education Room will be dedicated to the Chinese community of Windsor and Essex, serving as a testament to their contribution to local healthcare and community learning The space will be located within the Education & Administration Centre of the Fancsy Family Hospital.
"This commitment reflects our shared values of care, education, and giving back, and our collective effort to help build a healthier future for generations to come," said Stephen Tsui, President of the Essex County Chinese Canadian Association (ECCCA).
"The Chinese community of Windsor and Essex is honoured to support this important initiative and to stand alongside our community and Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation in creating a lasting legacy."
The Chinese Association of Greater Windsor (CAGW) partnered with ECCCA three years ago for the fundraising efforts for the new hospital. ECCCA has been dedicating proceeds from their fundraising events toward the new hospital since 2017.

Their early support highlights the power of collective philanthropy in ensuring Windsor-Essex has access to a leading healthcare facility equipped to meet our needs,” said Cristina Naccarato, Executive Director of Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation.

This year marks the 50th anniversary since the founding of the Essex County Chinese Canadian Association. The group will celebrate its half-century milestone at the 2026 Chinese New Year Gala on Saturday, February 28 at the Ciociaro Club.

Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation raises funds to enhance care at Windsor Regional Hospital. Over the past 10 years, through the generosity of donors, the Foundation has raised over $85 million to support equipment purchases at Windsor Regional Hospital. In addition to ongoing needs at Windsor Regional Hospital, the Foundation is raising funds to support equipment and technology at the Fancsy Family Hospital. The campaign for the Fancsy Family Hospital will be the largest campaign in the history of the Windsor-Essex region.
